Awakened promise of daybreak brings
Sunrise in all its blessings untold
Reach out and touch beholden beauty
For this, its bounty, everlasting

Embrace what heart and soul empowers
Dawn’s incarnation cast on waters
Hope and faith forever releasing
As winds of change tomorrow beckon

Our dreams exalt reanimation
Of global peace and love abidance
Saviour of man and woman and child
Through open eyes and resoluteness

Might of conviction shall overcome
As night’s transition to day’s begin
Kinetic energies fueled as fire
Answers reliant on questions bid

Resolve this day upon your waken
As light and shadow on waters still
Reflection’s sunrise affirmation
To live the dream for all tomorrows

  1. The last stanza really brings this all together… bravo dear poet!

“Resolve this day upon your waken
As light and shadow on waters still
    Reflection’s sunrise affirmation
To live the dream for all tomorrows”

    1. Ah, dear Roxi, thank you so much for this. I had a good feeling about the close. I always do my utmost to bring a strong opening and closing to each piece I write. I actually had a much different closing stanza but it just didn’t sit well so I deleted and revisited my thoughts to bring it home and glad I persevered! Hugs.
