Surrealities; An Island In The Sun

photo c/o

Though heavens would darken and clouds would fall
Mountains may rise as would pilasters tall
A silhouette dark as the midnight sky
Stands in greater contrast to my mind's eye
Sun in its radiant deliverance
Sheds light upon a darker relevance
Wherein moments of disquiet should I
Succumb to surrealities upon nigh

Stilled waters cool in anticipation
As antidepressive formulations
Visions may wander as sight would bear out
The transparency of truth beyond doubt
An island in silence awaits the rise
Of a sun beneath a burdened sky
I awaken to new realities
The dawn of insensate uncertanties
