In The Winter Of Your Eyes

A temperance clouds your wanton gaze

The cold of blue ice on winter’s day

Aggrieved by untoward intentions

An aberrant tear would come to rest

In the fast of one’s asperity

Engorged by the blood of yesterdays

Shed through the pain of my errant ways

Still, I beg for your understanding

In your mind I fashion discontent

A burdened heart, a dissonant soul

By the words spoken in disregard

In shame I would beg your forgiveness

Cherished divine sensitivities

Once bound our passion as summer’s day

In the warmth of ascending Chinook

Winds’ conveyance, love for all seasons
